Lost Lore Read-Along at Goodreads.


Beginning Saturday, February 3rd, there will be a Lost Lore read-along group at Goodreads, starting with Ben Galley's "No Fairytale" and proceeding in their published order. Mike's story, "Barrowlands," is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6th. Hope to see you there!

Lost Lore Released.


At last, at last, Lost Lore, the indie fantasy anthology, is available. Mike Shel's short story "Barrowlands" is included. You can find it at Amazon and Kobo . While it will soon be available free of charge, Amazon is a little slow on the uptake and is offering it for 99 cents. If you can't wait, shell out the measily buck and have at it. Otherwise, check back in a day or three.


Launch of The Fantasy Hive.


On January 1, 2018, The Fantasy Hive went live!  A wonderful hub for fans of fantasy, the site boasts book reviews, author interviews, new release previews, serial fiction, and nonfiction. Curated by a gaggle of talented writers and fans, this website promises to be a must-visit destination. It just so happens that my first novel, Aching God, is mentioned on their list of "Most Anticipated" fantasy releases for 2018.


Lost Lore  Release Date Set.


On January 15, 2018, Lost Lore will be released on all electronic platforms, absolutely free of charge. A treasure trove of short tales written by 15 of today's most intriguing indie fantasy authors, set in the worlds of their growing sagas. An Amazon listing of the anthology is in the works. In the meantime, check it out at Goodreads.


Lost Lore  Cover Reveal at Fantasy Book Critic.


Only a few days away, Fantasy Book Critic will reveal the cover of the Lost Lore fantasy anthology on December 11, 2017.  Among the contributors is Mike Shel. His short story, "Barrowlands," takes place in the world of his epic fantasy trilogy in-progress, Iconoclasts.
